CA3: CI’s conversations with def and officer’s observations was PC

CI’s conversations with the defendant coupled with the officer’s observations was probable cause. United States v. Ray, 2017 U.S. App. LEXIS 15827 (3d Cir. Aug. 21, 2017).*

Defendant’s stop wasn’t prolonged at the point he was asked whether he had anything the officer “should know about,” and defendant finally admitted he had a gun. United States v. Bishop, 2017 U.S. Dist. LEXIS 134934 (M.D. Fla. Aug. 23, 2017).*

Through Craigslist postings, defendant said he was into incest and surreptitious recordings of naked children. Police investigated and found outstanding warrants for him. They arranged a meet and arrested him. There was probable cause for search of his computers, and the good faith exception would apply in any event. United States v. Rogers, 2017 U.S. Dist. LEXIS 133285 (E.D. Mo. July 19, 2017).*
