NC: Nervousness and having associated with a known drug dealer was not RS

Nervousness and having associated with a known drug dealer was not reasonable suspicion for continuing a stop. State v. Bedient, 2016 N.C. App. LEXIS 506 (May 3, 2016).

Defense counsel’s affidavit in his 2255 showed that defendant didn’t want to go to trial and wanted to get it over with and they talked about a motion to suppress and agreed to forego it. Defendant didn’t contest it. McManus v. United States, 2016 U.S. Dist. LEXIS 57720 (M.D.N.C. May 2, 2016).*
