WaPo: Authorities shot a woman during a botched raid at her home. The real suspect was already in jail. By Derek Hawkins (“Ann Rylee was curled up on her recliner, drifting back to sleep after seeing her fiance off to work, when a commotion startled her. Outside in the predawn dark, authorities from local and federal law enforcement agencies had surrounded the 20-year-old’s home in rural Wilmer, Ala. They were looking for her fiance’s uncle, who had outstanding warrants, according to police. But the man wasn’t there. Police had booked him in county jail the previous day, and family members would later say he hadn’t lived at the residence in more than a year.”)
