E.D.Tenn.: Consent in the face of a parole search condition isn’t involuntary

Defendant’s consent to a search when confronted with the fact he was subject to a parole search doesn’t make it involuntary. United States v. Foster, 2016 U.S. Dist. LEXIS 161940 (E.D.Tenn. Sept. 28, 2016).

The California federal court’s supervised release condition that requires no suspicion for a search is constitutional under Samson. United States v. Gibson, 2016 U.S. Dist. LEXIS 162802 (N.D.Cal. Nov. 22, 2016).
