CA3: Three connected cases

When the officer went to an apartment in response to a shots fired call, and defendant came running out knocking the officer over, that was reasonable suspicion to detain him. The crack in his hand was dropped. United States v. Torrence, 2015 U.S. App. LEXIS 7754 (3d Cir. May 11, 2015).*

Defendant had no standing in a co-conspirator’s apartment that was validly subjected to a protective sweep that produced defendant’s gun. United States v. Moten, 2015 U.S. App. LEXIS 7755 (3d Cir. May 11, 2015);* United States v. Stokes, 2015 U.S. App. LEXIS 7756 (3d Cir. May 11, 2015).*
