NC: RS came from hand-to-hand transaction observed by one of officer’s CIs

The officer had reasonable suspicion to stop defendant after an apparent hand-to-hand transaction where the officer recognized him as one of his former CIs who bought drugs for him. State v. Travis, 2016 N.C. App. LEXIS 105 (Jan. 19, 2016).

Defendant’s stop for not having a taillight on his bicycle was with probable cause, and defendant fleeing the stop tossed a gun. United States v. Dampier, 2016 U.S. Dist. LEXIS 6529 (M.D.Fla. Jan. 20, 2016).*
