N.D.Ill.: No REP in the hallway of a U-Haul storage facility from a dog sniff

Defendant did not have a reasonable expectation of privacy in the hallway of a U-Haul storage facility. Thus, a dog sniff there was probable cause for a search warrant for the storage unit. United States v. Flores, 2015 U.S. Dist. LEXIS 126355 (N.D.Ill. September 22, 2015).

The CI here was sufficiently corroborated to show probable cause. United States v. Russell, 2015 U.S. Dist. LEXIS 126508 (D. Minn. August 7, 2015),* adopted 2015 U.S. Dist. LEXIS 126280 (D.Minn. September 22, 2015).*

Police had information about drug sales by defendant and his girl friend who lived at his house. A trash pull revealed cocaine. United States v. Alexander, 2015 U.S. Dist. LEXIS 126484 (M.D.N.C. September 22, 2015).*
