CA6: No showing insurance company’s investigative report was cause of his arrest; also didn’t plead state action

Plaintiff sued his insurance company for participating in his false arrest because they submitted their own investigative file to law enforcement. There is no evidence that law enforcement didn’t conduct its own independent analysis of what they received. In addition, plaintiff didn’t plead state action for the insurance company for § 1983. Waad v. Farmers Ins. Exch., 2019 U.S. App. LEXIS 3051 (6th Cir. Jan. 30, 2019).*

No good cause shown for filing a motion to suppress out of time. United States v. Seigler, 2019 U.S. Dist. LEXIS 13735 (W.D. Va. Jan. 29, 2019).*
