E.D.Tenn.: Running dog after license check was completed was unreasonable

The traffic stop of defendant was justified, and it took ten minutes to run the computer checks. After the computer checks, it took two minutes to walk the dog around the vehicle, which was not reasonable. United States v. Jackson, 2010 U.S. Dist. LEXIS 39467 (E.D. Tenn. April 21, 2010), rejecting in part the R&R 2009 U.S. Dist. LEXIS 126777 (E.D. Tenn. October 29, 2009).

The officer had reasonable suspicion that defendant was involved in a bank robbery when he stopped the defendant based on a CI’s information and observations of the defendant and his car. United States v. Evans, 2010 U.S. Dist. LEXIS 39243 (N.D. Ill. April 21, 2010).*

No IAC where defendant’s only complaint on the suppression issue was that certain witnesses were not called but the outcome would not change. Cantrell v. United States, 2010 U.S. Dist. LEXIS 39290 (W.D. Mo. April 20, 2010).*
