IN: Lie to cops justified arrest and SI to arrest

Defendant’s lying to officers gave probable cause to arrest him, and that justified a search incident. Taylor v. State, 891 N.E.2d 155 (Ind. App. 2008).*

Arrest warrant for violating parole and seeing a gun is probable cause to believe the defendant is a felon in possession. United States v. Loveland, 2008 U.S. Dist. LEXIS 58995 (D. Minn. August 5, 2008).*

Defendant was stopped for speeding on an ATV illegally on a public road, and, when he retrieved his license from a fanny pack, drugs were seen in plain view. The seizure was valid. Howard v. State, 987 So. 2d 506 (Miss. App. 2008).*
