The Hill: Lawmakers applaud court ruling against NSA || yet they’re still doing nothing

The Hill: Lawmakers applaud court ruling against NSA by Brendan Sasso:

Critics of the National Security Agency on Capitol Hill are applauding Monday’s court decision that the agency’s sweeping collection of records on all U.S. phone calls is likely unconstitutional.

U.S. District Court Judge Richard Leon ruled that the data collection is likely an illegal search under the Fourth Amendment, but he put his order to end the program on hold.

Lawmakers argue that the ruling shows the need for their legislation to limit the NSA’s power.

Congress is supposed to determine our public policy based on the Constitution.

Look, guys: Unless you are completely obtuse, you already knew this, yet you’ve done nothing except sit around on your hands and (1) shut down the government and (2) be the most unproductive Congress ever. Do something, or get out and let somebody else who cares run for your seat. You whine about “activist judges,” which is any judge who disagrees with you or makes you look ineffective. Yet one judge has to have the guts to say it too to get you motivated?

I’m looking for a synonym for useless and the 113th Congress. Then I decided: That’s redundant.
