These scanners have the ability to detect even trace amounts of substances. <\/p>\n<p><a href=\"http:\/\/gizmodo.com\/5923980\/the-secret-government-laser-that-instantly-knows-everything-about-you\">&#8220;From specks of gunpowder to your adrenaline levels<\/a> to a sugar-sized grain of cannabis to what you had for breakfast,&#8221; said the report. <\/p>\n<p>The Picosecond Programmable Laser scanners \u2014 developed by Genia Photonics and In-Q-Tel \u2014 have a reach of 50 meters (164 feet).
