While defendant was being prepared for transport, the officer checked defendant\u2019s coat and felt a pill bottle which he looked at in case it had anything to do with his condition. The search of the coat was reasonable and related to the emergency. <a href=\"https:\/\/acis.alabama.gov\/displaydocs.cfm?no=1101606&amp;event=65W0U1FI8\">Byrd v. State<\/a>, 2021 Ala. Crim. App. LEXIS 68 (Oct. 8, 2021) (3-2).<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The seizure of defendant\u2019s cell phone, determined to be relevant during defendant\u2019s booking inventory, was reasonable.
