United States v. Hernandez, 2021 U.S. Dist. LEXIS 149587 (W.D.Tex. Aug. 10, 2021).<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Defendant\u2019s admissions of the contents of the car justified its search under the automobile exception. United States v. Pemberton, 2021 U.S. Dist. LEXIS 150079 (D.Mass. Aug. 10, 2021).<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>It was clearly established that the gratuitous beating of a pretrial detainee was unreasonable. It\u2019s under the due process clause for sure, but SCOTUS has not clarified whether the Fourth Amendment applies too. <a href=\"https:\/\/www2.ca3.uscourts.gov\/opinarch\/193269p.pdf\">Jacobs v. Cumberland Cty.<\/a>, 2021 U.S. App. LEXIS 23675 (3d Cir. Aug. 10, 2021).*<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>There was reasonable suspicion defendant\u2019s cell phone contained evidence of a crime, so its seizure was reasonable. <a href=\"http:\/\/media.ca7.uscourts.gov\/cgi-bin\/rssExec.pl?Submit=Display&amp;Path=Y2021\/D08-10\/C:19-2636:J:Kanne:aut:T:fnOp:N:2745885:S:0\">United States v. McGill<\/a>, 2021 U.S. App. LEXIS 23732 (7th Cir.
