He \u201cturned on his heels\u201d and fled, with the police in pursuit, right to plaintiffs\u2019 house, past one plaintiff out front, and locked the door. The hot pursuit entry was lawful under Santana. The plaintiff outside tried to get his keys out to let the police in, but they knocked down the door instead. The trial and appeal was over whether the young man\u2019s guilty plea to his drug crime was admissible or not to show the police had cause to chase him in the first place and other evidentiary issues. <a href=\"http:\/\/media.ca7.uscourts.gov\/cgi-bin\/rssExec.pl?Submit=Display&#038;Path=Y2017\/D11-07\/C:16-1051:J:Wood:aut:T:fnOp:N:2058880:S:0\">White v.
