While the patdown was excessive if looking for a weapon, defendant discarded drugs, too, and that made a more intensive search of his sock valid. <a href=\"http:\/\/www.3dca.flcourts.org\/Opinions\/3D14-2574.pdf\">Cole v. App. LEXIS 5971 (Fla. 3d DCA April 20, 2016).<\/p>\n<p>Border Patrol officers had reasonable suspicion for a stop of a Mercedes which, by all appearances, was picking up hitchhikers who probably were dropped off and walked around a checkpoint.
