Here are a few thoughts.<\/p>\n<p>First, the cigarette question is pretty easy. The officer says, \u201cDo you mind putting out your cigarette, please? If you don\u2019t mind.\u201d That\u2019s a request, not an order. There\u2019s no law requiring you to go along with an officer\u2019s \u201cdo you mind\u201d requests.
