Simon and President Barack Obama engaged in a candid, personal conversation.<\/p>\n<p>Simon spent years as a Baltimore police reporter before he began writing for TV. His experience makes him uniquely qualified to have this kind of discussion.<\/p>\n<p>There was something special about this meeting.
