They could smell marijuana outside. When defendant opened the door and saw the police he started running, and that was an exigency justifying police entry because he likely was going to attempt to flee or destroy evidence. <a href=\"http:\/\/www.search.txcourts.gov\/SearchMedia.aspx?MediaVersionID=89d9d73b-1068-46e3-a899-6d6f7416cad4&amp;MediaID=f6c00fcc-4d24-4436-ae97-de6109d51ed4&amp;coa=%22%20+%20this.CurrentWebState.CurrentCourt%20+%20@%22&amp;DT=Opinion\">Pache v.
