Katzin<\/a> that <a href=\"http:\/\/www.supremecourt.gov\/opinions\/11pdf\/10-1259.pdf\">Jones<\/a> should have some exceptions, especially for terrorism cases. The oral argument is today. <\/p>\n<p>This case, however, <a href=\"http:\/\/www.aclu.org\/files\/assets\/us_v_katzin_district_court_opinion.pdf\">United States v. Katzin<\/a>, Criminal 11-226 (E.D. Pa. May 9, 2012), involves three guys accused of robbing a pharmacy.<\/p>\n<p>Wired, of course, is bent out of shape about the government making any argument for exceptions. We intuitively know, however, that the Solicitor General wrote the brief and put the AUSA&#8217;s name on it. It&#8217;s the advocate&#8217;s job to make an argument for exceptions. Just like when I make arguments for exceptions to rules.
