It is for safety. <a href=\"http:\/\/www.tsc.state.tn.us\/sites\/default\/files\/in_vandergriffrlopn.pdf\">State v. Vandergriff<\/a>, 2012 Tenn. Crim. App. LEXIS 452 (June 28, 2012).<\/p>\n<p>Defendant\u2019s cotton mouth and slurred speech and seeing a corner of a clear plastic sandwich bag was not reasonable suspicion of drugs. DUI? Likely, but that was not the focus of this investigation, and the continuation of this stop was unreasonable. <a href=\"http:\/\/www.kscourts.org\/Cases-and-Opinions\/opinions\/CtApp\/2012\/20120629\/106605.pdf\">State v. Jones<\/a>, 47 Kan. App. 2d 866, 280 P.3d 824 (2012).<\/p>\n<p>Defendant\u2019s almost nonsensical answers to basic questions were enough to make reasonable suspicion. (Something like \u201cwhere\u2019s your luggage?\u201d \u201cIn the back seat?\u201d \u201cThere\u2019s no luggage in the back seat.\u201d \u201cI\u2019m wearing it all.\u201d) <a href=\"http:\/\/www.courts.mo.gov\/file.jsp?id=55043\">State v.
