{"id":6653,"date":"2012-02-08T22:50:14","date_gmt":"2012-02-09T00:08:14","guid":{"rendered":""},"modified":"-0001-11-30T00:00:00","modified_gmt":"2012-02-08T22:50:14","slug":"en-US","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"http:\/\/fourthamendment.com\/?p=6653","title":{"rendered":"IdahoReporter.com: &#8220;Senate amends Occupy Boise bill to avoid Fourth Amendment concerns&#8221;"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><a href=\"http:\/\/www.idahoreporter.com\/2012\/senate-amends-occupy-boise-bill-to-avoid-fourth-amendment-concerns\/\">IdahoReporter.com: Senate amends Occupy Boise bill to avoid Fourth Amendment concerns<\/a>:<\/p>\n<blockquote><p>The bill to prevent camping on state property was amended by the Idaho Senate Wednesday to quell concerns that it might violate Fourth Amendment search and seizure protection rights.<\/p>\n<p>There were three amendments up in the Senate\u2019s amending process Wednesday, including one to remove an emergency clause from the measure. &#8230; <\/p>\n<p>The bill comes as a result of the Occupy Boise group setting up camp across the street from the Idaho Capitol on the old Ada County courthouse lawn.<\/p>\n<p>The sole adopted amendment, backed by Senate Pro Tem Brent Hill, R-Rexburg, and Senate Majority Leader Bart Davis, R-Idaho Falls, would ease how the state handles property after evictions.
