Cop: Everything came back OK on your driver\u2019s license. I did notice you got arrest there about six months ago for minor in possession of marijuana<\/p>\n

Man in car: I [took it] for somebody else, my buddy, my buddy [inaudible].<\/p>\n

Cop: I gothca. I\u2019ll tell you what. I\u2019m not going to write you a ticket for speeding. I\u2019m going to cut you free on that. Before you take off, you mine if I take a look through your car for any narcotics or anything like that?<\/p>\n

Man in car: Not without a warrant, man<\/p>\n

Cop: Pardon?<\/p>\n

Man in car: Not without a warrant.<\/p>\n

Cop: You\u2019re not going to let me look in your car without a warrant.<\/p>\n

Man in car: No, not without a warrant.<\/p>\n

Cop. [Sighs] Well OK. I guess that\u2019s OK. I guess that\u2019s just fine actually. That\u2019ll be fine. That\u2019ll just be fucking fine buddy! You don\u2019t like you, you take your shit and get back to fucking Charleston! You don\u2019t fucking come back here, you understand? You understand me, motherfucker? Fuck you! [Walks away, turns and flips the bird:] Fuck you! [Gets in car]<\/p>\n

Man in car: What the fuck did you say? [Asked about license, too]<\/p>\n

Cop: [Gets out of car] Get your fucking license and get out of here motherfucker! Fuck you! [Gets back to car and PA is on:] Cocksucker! [Inaudible] Goddamn motherfucker!<\/p><\/blockquote>\n

I would think that most people would think they’d get the same response for refusing a consent search of their car. You can almost hear the cop going through a mental checklist trying to figure out it he can search the car without a warrant. A better is question is: how did this video get from the police department to YouTube? It was posted January 10th by a marijuana legalization group and has a quarter of a million hits today.<\/p>\n
