If you have any doubt, I strongly urge you to read <a href=\"http:\/\/www.nytimes.com\/2011\/06\/23\/opinion\/23shipler.html?_r=1&amp;nl=todaysheadlines&amp;emc=tha212\">Free to Search and Seize<\/a>, an op ed in today&#8217;s New York Times by David K. Shipler.<\/p>\n<p>He begins by recounting a number of the things that have, despite the lessons we had in theory learned in the 1970s, limited the reach of the Fourth Amendment, actions by all three branches of government.
