United States v. Peterson, 2011 U.S. Dist. LEXIS 42174 (N.D. Tex. April 19, 2011).*<\/p>\n<p>There was a consent form signed in this case, but there is enough factual dispute to require a hearing. United States v. Younis, 2011 U.S. Dist. LEXIS 42281 (S.D. N.Y. April 19, 2011).*<\/p>\n<p>While shotgun shells are not weapons in themselves, finding them during a patdown justified going into the pockets to get them out. Defendant showed a causal connection between the seizure of his car keys and an admission that there was a shotgun in the trunk, so the gun is suppressed. United States v. Teague, 2010 U.S. Dist. LEXIS 142717 (N.D. Ga. November 22, 2010).*<\/p>\n<p>The \u201cpublic safety exception\u201d permitted officers to enter the bedroom in which defendant was hiding as the police were looking for him for armed robbery.
