An ensuing inventory was also valid. United States v. Carter, 2011 U.S. Dist. LEXIS 38018 (M.D. Fla. March 10, 2011).*<\/p>\n<p>The entry into defendant\u2019s motel room on alleged exigent circumstances was unlawful, and the consent derived from that entry was, too. United States v. Slaughter, 2011 U.S. Dist. LEXIS 37564 (N.D. Ga. April 6, 2011),* R&amp;R 2011 U.S. Dist. LEXIS 37502 (N.D. Ga. March 1, 2011).*<\/p>\n<p>UPS detained a suspicious package after an attempted delivery, and they called the police. A drug dog alerted on the package, and it was detained pending getting a search warrant for the place of the coming controlled delivery. All this happened over a weekend, which was not an unreasonable delay because the package was not going to be delivered before Monday anyway. United States v. Tapia, 2011 U.S. Dist. LEXIS 37545 (D.
