{"id":5409,"date":"2011-04-10T10:07:08","date_gmt":"2011-04-10T08:38:29","guid":{"rendered":""},"modified":"-0001-11-30T00:00:00","modified_gmt":"2011-04-10T08:38:29","slug":"en-US","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"http:\/\/fourthamendment.com\/?p=5409","title":{"rendered":"Turner TV: &#8220;Police POV&#8221; starts with AR, OH, TN"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><a href=\"http:\/\/www.arkansasonline.com\/news\/2011\/apr\/10\/fort-smith-police-work-tv-cameras-rolling-20110410\/?subscriber\/arkansas\">Fort Smith police work with TV cameras rolling<\/a> by Dave Hughes in the Arkansas Democrat-Gazatte (sub. req.) today:<\/p>\n<blockquote><p>A new television program, featuring Fort Smith police officers, will offer viewers around the country a cop\u2019s-eye view of police work.<\/p>\n<p>Police POV, airing April 17 on the Turner Broadcasting System, will show officers in Fort Smith, Cincinnati and Chattanooga, Tenn., as they go about their daily work.<\/p>\n<p>The officers will each wear a small video camera that fits over the ear and that will record events from the officers\u2019 \u201cpoint of view.\u201d\n<\/p><\/blockquote>\n<p>Turner TV press kit <a href=\"http:\/\/news.turner.com\/press_kits.cfm?presskit_id=200\">here<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p>Officers in more cities have cameras on the chest-high microphone of their radios. When the defendant speaks, it is a &#8220;statement of the defendant&#8221; for discovery purposes.
