If an illegal substance is found in a traveler\u2019s luggage, the passenger will not be allowed to bring it beyond the checkpoint.<\/p><p>With states passing new legislation on the issue or changing existing laws, a pot-carrier\u2019s fate is hard to predict.<\/p><p>If marijuana is legal in the state, TSA spokeswoman Alexa Lopez said a passenger found with a small amount will typically be allowed to dispose of it.
