Superior Court<\/a>, 2021 Cal. App. LEXIS 1057 (3d Dist. Nov. 24, 2021) (published Dec. 16, 2021).<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Officers had probable cause for the automobile exception here based on a controlled buy where the car was used and then the smell of marijuana coming from it. <a href=\"https:\/\/www.opn.ca6.uscourts.gov\/opinions.pdf\/21a0284p-06.pdf\">United States v. Hall<\/a>, 2021 U.S. App. LEXIS 37136 (6th Cir. Dec. 16, 2021).*<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>If the defendant officer\u2019s use of force was objectively unreasonable, it isn\u2019t entitled to qualified immunity. And, Heck doesn\u2019t usually bar excessive force claims. <a href=\"https:\/\/www2.ca3.uscourts.gov\/opinarch\/202526p.pdf\">Jefferson v. Lias<\/a>, 2021 U.S. App. LEXIS 37115 (3d Cir.
