Without knowing why, it can\u2019t be ineffective (it was argued it was \u201coutrageous\u201d). The defense at trial was lack of knowledge, and the trial court found that a reasonable strategy on post-conviction. <a href=\"https:\/\/search.txcourts.gov\/SearchMedia.aspx?MediaVersionID=819a016b-468c-4a97-ab89-159ad2812943&amp;MediaID=b2261395-1a33-48d9-91dc-7f5072f4ca1c&amp;coa=%22%20+%20this.CurrentWebState.CurrentCourt%20+%20@%22&amp;DT=Opinion\">Ex parte Kershaw<\/a>, 2021 Tex.
