{"id":4396,"date":"2010-07-05T12:08:42","date_gmt":"2010-07-05T12:08:42","guid":{"rendered":""},"modified":"-0001-11-30T00:00:00","modified_gmt":"2010-07-05T12:08:42","slug":"en-US","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"http:\/\/fourthamendment.com\/?p=4396","title":{"rendered":"<em>Leon<\/em> and the good faith exception, 26 years ago today"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>Today is the 26th anniversary of <a href=\"http:\/\/scholar.google.com\/scholar_case?case=12950573209015417232&amp;q=united+states+v.+leon&amp;hl=en&amp;as_sdt=80000002\">United States v. Leon<\/a> and the good faith exception. <\/p>\n<p>When I remembered that this morning, I had a flash back to the last CLE I did for prosecutors about 1990 where the speaker after me referred to July 5th as &#8220;Independence Day from the Fourth Amendment.&#8221; There was rousing applause from the audience.
