Take a Drug Test | Lawmaker wants people get drug-tested in order to get unemployment benefits (video actually from March, but it was discussed today, again)<\/a>, from a Georgia state lawmaker. See also <a href=\"http:\/\/www.ajc.com\/news\/law-would-require-drug-376097.html\">ajc.com from March<\/a>. Its <a href=\"http:\/\/ga.legis.state.ga.us\/legis\/2009_10\/sum\/hb1389.htm\">HB 1389<\/a>, and the recipient of the funds has to pay for the test. Didn&#8217;t that die without a vote? This is so old, it&#8217;s not newsworthy. But, that&#8217;s Fox&#8211;filling airtime with the scare of the day.<\/p>\n<p>This is so unconstitutional, it&#8217;s laughable. See <a href=\"http:\/\/scholar.google.com\/scholar_case?case=12447804856380641716&amp;q=ferguson&amp;hl=en&amp;as_sdt=1002\">Ferguson v. City of Charleston<\/a>, 532 U.S. 67 (2001), and <a href=\"http:\/\/scholar.google.com\/scholar_case?case=8655257031938182800&amp;q=Chandler&amp;hl=en&amp;as_sdt=20002\">Chandler v. Miller<\/a>, 520 U.S. 305 (1997) [from Georgia]. <\/p>\n<p>If it&#8217;s me, its unconstitutional.
