Taylor<\/a>, 388 S.C. 101, 694 S.E.2d 60 (2010)* (this case is a good summary of the law of anonymous tips).<\/p>\n<p>Defendant consented to a search of his car, and that revealed the odor of marijuana. Probable cause developed at that point, and the search was valid under the automobile exception. <a href=\"http:\/\/www.aoc.state.nc.us\/www\/public\/coa\/opinions\/2010\/pdf\/091063-1.pdf\">State v. Toledo<\/a>, 204 N.C. App. 171, 693 S.E.2d 201 (2010).*<\/p>\n<p>Police responded to a 911 call that defendant was on her property, and that justified their entry. They did not know that the caller wasn\u2019t there. <a href=\"http:\/\/www.courts.wa.gov\/opinions\/pdf\/38377-2.10.doc.pdf\">State v. Pierce<\/a>, 155 Wn.
