[The case law has supported this for at least 40 years.]  United States v. McCauley, 2010 U.S. Dist. LEXIS 17162 (W.D. Wis. February 2, 2010).<\/p>\n<p>CI\u2019s controlled buy was probable cause for search warrant.  <a href=\"http:\/\/www.fifthcircuit.org\/PDF\/OPINIONS\/PO\/2010\/34A8FB7E-0B00-4C16-AAB9-26F0C7FFF5A6.pdf\">State v. Dee<\/a>, 34 So. 3d 892 (La. App. 5th Cir. 2010).*<\/p>\n<p>Defendant was not being pursued when he ran and tossed a gun.  The officer walked into an area where defendant was, and apparently was not even focused on defendant when he took off and dropped the gun.  <a href=\"http:\/\/www.fifthcircuit.org\/PDF\/OPINIONS\/PO\/2010\/34A8FB7E-0B00-4C16-AAB9-26F0C7FFF5A6.pdf\">State v. Loeb<\/a>, 34 So. 3d 917 (La. App. 5th Cir. 2010).*<\/p>\n<p>While this was a really close case, the court finds reasonable suspicion for defendant\u2019s stop and eventual patdown.  <a href=\" http:\/\/weblinks.westlaw.com\/result\/default.aspx?action=Search&amp;cnt=DOC&amp;db=MA-ORSLIP&amp;eq=search&amp;fmqv=c&amp;fn=_top&amp;method=TNC&amp;n=2&amp;origin=Search&amp;query=TO%28ALLAPP+ALLAPPRS%29&amp;rlt=CLID_QRYRLT77643840713&amp;rltdb=CLID_DB46268840713&amp;rlti=1&amp;rp=%2Fsearch%2Fdefault.wl&amp;rs=MAOR1.0&amp;service=Search&amp;sp=MassOF-1001&amp;srch=TRUE&amp;ss=CNT&amp;sskey=CLID_SSSA19284840713&amp;sv=Split&amp;vr=1.0\">Commonwealth v. Cabrera<\/a>, 76 Mass. App. Ct. 341, 921 N.E.2d 1026 (2010).*<\/p>\n<p>Defendant\u2019s window tint stop led to finding an arrest warrant on him and that led to a valid search.  <a href=\"http:\/\/www.courtinfo.ca.gov\/opinions\/documents\/B210203.PDF\">People v. Carter<\/a>, 182 Cal. App. 4th 522, 105 Cal.
