When confronted in the parking lot, he pulled a gun on the employees. Albuquerque PD found the car, surrounded it, and got him out. The car was searched and the gun was found. It was inevitably discovered because it was essentially in plain view and then it would have been inventoried after the arrest anyway. (The court doesn\u2019t even mention the automobile exception, but that would be the most logical justification since the robbery victims described a gun in the car.) <a href=\"https:\/\/www.ca10.uscourts.gov\/opinions\/17\/17-2111.pdf\">United States v.
