Inside, they could hear things being tossed. This was exigency for an entry in hot pursuit and led to a plain view. <a href=\"http:\/\/www.ca11.uscourts.gov\/unpub\/ops\/200815931.pdf\">United States v. Hayes<\/a>, 334 Fed. Appx. 222 (11th Cir. 2009) (unpublished).*<\/p>\n<p>Defendant fled from his truck and that was an abandonment of the truck. He was not seized when he fled. <a href=\"http:\/\/www.ca10.uscourts.gov\/opinions\/08\/08-2207.pdf\">United States v. Quintana-Grijalva<\/a>, 332 Fed. Appx. 487 (10th Cir. 2009) (unpublished).*<\/p>\n<p>The officer had reason to get the defendant out of a car considering it was stopped in a high crime area and the furtive movements in the car.  <a href=\"http:\/\/www.ca7.uscourts.gov\/tmp\/OH1FG45I.pdf\">United States v. King<\/a>, 2009 U.S. App. LEXIS 12937 (7th Cir. June 16, 2009) (unpublished).*<\/p>\n<p>When the officer approached the defendant, he developed PC to believe that the defendant was violating a &#8220;barment&#8221; order and was a trespasser who could be arrested. That led to RS of an open container violation. When questioning the defendant, his story was implausible, and that was further RS. United States v. Johnston, 2009 U.S. Dist. LEXIS 50402 (W.D. Va.
