His LPN check of out-of-state plates took six minutes. It took nearly an hour for the drug dog to arrive. There was no reasonable suspicion for that long a detention. Lopez-Cardenas<\/a>, 2017 Iowa App. LEXIS 776 (Aug. 2, 2017).<\/p>\n<p>Officers heard \u201cthe \u2018sustained squealing of tires\u2019 for a \u2018lengthy duration\u2019 from the intersection. At the same time, they observed the defendant&#8217;s vehicle going through the intersection. It was late night.
