This week and last, the Cato Institute filed amicus briefs urging the Supreme Court to take up two cases dealing with the constitutional status of \u201ccell site location information,\u201d or \u201cCSLI.\u201d This data, collected of necessity by cellular communications providers, creates detailed records of their customers\u2019 movements.
