The police did not misrepresent that they did not have a warrant, and defendant was not a stranger to police procedure.  <a href=\"http:\/\/caselaw.lp.findlaw.com\/data2\/floridastatecases\/7_2008\/sc05-1509.pdf\">Wyche v. State<\/a>, 987 So. 2d 23 (Fla. 2008).<\/p>\n<p>Defendant&#8217;s refusal of consent prevented the police from seeking consent from his mother. The parent-child hiearachy of ability to consent, since this is an adult child, does not alter the outcome. <a href=\"http:\/\/www.dcappeals.gov\/dccourts\/appeals\/pdf\/06-CM-1001.PDF\">Martin v. United States<\/a>, 952 A.2d 181 (D.C.
