The officer saw him do it, got permission from the owner to search his trash and seized the box. A search warrant was sought for the box but it was denied because it couldn\u2019t be connected to any crime. Defendant never came to the police to claim it. After a few days, the police then x-rayed the box and saw an Uzi with two large capacity magazines.
