Leahey<\/a>, 272 Ore. App. 766, 2015 Ore. App. LEXIS 961 (August 12, 2015).<\/p>\n<p>\u201cHe requested defendant&#8217;s identification, asked if she had drugs, weapons, or anything illegal on her, and sought consent to perform a patdown search. Defendant refused the search, but voluntarily showed Hickam the contents of her pockets. Because Hickam&#8217;s behavior was \u2018nonconfrontational,\u2019 and his questioning of defendant was far less extensive and intrusive than the officers&#8217; questioning in Wabinga, we cannot conclude that Hickam&#8217;s conduct constituted a \u2018show of authority\u2019 that would amount to an unlawful seizure of defendant under the Backstrand line of cases.\u201d <a href=\"http:\/\/www.publications.ojd.state.or.us\/docs\/A136543.pdf\">State v.
