There was a laptop downstairs, and defendant consented to a search of it. Defendant asked to go to the bathroom, and the officer followed for safety purposes. In an upstairs room there was a desktop computer, and defendant was seen unplugging an external hard drive from the wall. It was still plugged into the computer. Defendant consented to a search of that computer, too. The officer did not explicitly ask for consent to search the hard drive connected to it because he considered it part of the whole computer. Defendant\u2019s consent was voluntary on the totality. Indications of child pornography were found on the desktop computer, and a search warrant was obtained. Like consent to search a car includes containers found inside, consent to search a computer includes the external hard drive plugged into it. <a href=\"http:\/\/media.ca8.uscourts.gov\/opndir\/15\/05\/143086P.pdf\">United States v. May 15, 2015). <\/p>\n<p>Defendant consented to a search of her vehicle and then attempted a conditional consent about not impounding the car after the search started. That was not withdrawal of consent. <a href=\"http:\/\/www.supremecourt.ohio.gov\/rod\/docs\/pdf\/5\/2015\/2015-Ohio-1784.pdf\">State v.
