An Illinois judge today denied murder “person of interest” Drew Peterson’s request for return of property seized under a search warrant after just a five minute hearing, as reported on CNN.com<\/a>:<\/p>\n

Attorneys for Drew Peterson have stated that authorities had ample time to examine items seized since Stacy Peterson went missing in late October.<\/p>\n

But on Monday they said that Will County Judge Daniel Rozek’s ruling was reasonable.<\/p>\n

Attorney Joel Brodsky said the judge plans to reconsider the issue next month.<\/p>\n

“Forensics are very intricate, detailed,” Brodsky said after a five-minute hearing. “It’s only been seven weeks and we’re happy the judge is going to keep a leash on them.”<\/p><\/blockquote>\n

Computers and cars were seized, and Peterson claims he wants only one of each back. I would not have even filed such a motion because it inevitably would have been denied, and the court denying the motion only adds to the negative publicity.<\/p>\n

Update:<\/strong> Peterson’s counsel was on Dan Abrams<\/a> on MSNBC last night, and it was not pretty<\/a>. He should have just stayed home because it did not serve Peterson’s interest.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
