By the time he was ready to make the stop, the driver and passenger had stopped and were walking into a restaurant. He came into the restaurant looking for the driver, and the passenger, sitting alone in a booth, said she didn\u2019t know where he was, guessing he was in the bathroom. She was taken outside and made to call others in an attempt to find him. Her detention after that was without any reasonable suspicion that she\u2019d committed any crime, and the officer essentially admitted it at the suppression hearing.
