Early July is always a strange week: some courts (like my own) are off for the summer and courts will presumably hand down fewer cases this week because of Wednesday being a holiday [although I posted a case to www.lawofcriminaldefense.com<\/a> yesterday from June 29th “officially released July 3d” already on that court’s website], and readership in the past was down about 25% this week. <\/p>\n

Postings will be off and on this week because I have a 1400 mile roadtrip, leaving today to drive my father to the old homestead on the east end of Lake Ontario for the summer. I’ll be checking e-mail because it is now a necessary part of a lawyer’s life. Whether I’ll take the time to post depends upon the number of cases that come through and whether I take the time to read any before I get there Tuesday night.<\/p>\n

And, readers, thank you for visiting this site. Site visits for June was 101,000, 9% above May’s 92,000. I did this website for almost four years before the numbers took off. Knowing that readers are there makes this worthwhile.<\/p>\n
