{"id":10344,"date":"2014-02-07T12:14:50","date_gmt":"2014-02-07T12:14:50","guid":{"rendered":""},"modified":"-0001-11-30T00:00:00","modified_gmt":"2014-02-07T12:14:50","slug":"en-US","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"http:\/\/fourthamendment.com\/?p=10344","title":{"rendered":"The Hill: Court OKs NSA changes"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>The Hill:<a href=\"http:\/\/thehill.com\/blogs\/hillicon-valley\/technology\/197733-courts-signs-off-on-nsa-changes#ixzz2seoynU5a\"> Court OKs NSA changes<\/a> by Julian Hattem:<\/p>\n<p><!--more--><\/p>\n<blockquote><p>The federal court that oversees the country\u2019s spy programs has approved President Obama\u2019s plans to limit searches of people\u2019s phone records.<\/p>\n<p>The Foreign Intelligence Surveillance (FISA) Court granted the president\u2019s request to limit the number of records National Security Agency officials could look at and require they obtain a court order first.<\/p>\n<p>The NSA program, which was revealed in documents released by former contractor Edward Snowden, collects information about the numbers people dial, the length of their phone calls and the number of times they make the calls, which is known as metadata.
